What's the best way to wash your veggies?

What's the best way to wash your veggies and get rid of the pesticides and chemicals that might have been sprayed in them?

I usually just wash them in running water for a few minutes or sometimes in warm water but I usually wonder if this is enough... any thoughts?

Greens should be washed by separating each leaf and soaking them in warm water for a few minutes. Don't forget to drain them later, as well. Other vegetables should be washed in cold water, I believe.
