Whatcha Eatin?

back to noodley soup, yet again, the kale I bought last was local, organic and the leaves were huge so I still have a lot left and some cabbage - on Monday I was so sad as when I was serving it I realized that I forgot to put in my soy curls........ that is a very important component!!! so I took some of the crumbs, that I keep on the side, out of the freezer and shook them in around the edges to soak up the soupy part

My husband went out to buy bread and I'm going to have toast with vegan butter and marmite.
I've tried marmite and did like a thin smear. Today I thought, why not miso?
I had toast with vegan butter and miso, and a sprinkle of nooch. Why isn't this a thing? I've never heard of of using miso like that, but I will do it again
I need to put my bagged miso in a glass jar

I think I saw a YouTuber have miso on toast. I don't mind adding miso to recipes, but I don't particularly like it on it's own.

I haven't had anything but the toast as I had a 3 hour nap after physio today.

miso on toast, interesting idea, might have to try it

I had it in my noodley soup today, as I usually do along with gochujang, cabbage, brussel sprouts, kale, mushroom, soy curls, lots of other frozen veggies, wakame etc.

I made pinto beans patties with the chipotle chickpea snack things I bought--just crushed them like bread crumbs
and an ear of very good corn with vegan butter and nooch. I wish I had made mayo, definitely prefer with mayo

An avocado/smoked tofu/Dijon mustard/Flora sandwich made with Hovis style ww sliced bread from a local bakers. It tastes nothing like supermarket style bread and reminded me of bread bought back in the 60's.

A white cabbage slaw with creamy dressing, pumpkin seeds and yeast flakes.

A banana.

Thankfully (and surprisingly!) I don't miss ice cream much. I really haven't found any I consistently like. There is a shop near me that has what I thought was great soft serve vegan, but I had one recently and it was like clay, and I could taste the oats. I don't know if it was a bad batch, but I do have fickle tastes. My son kinda said the same thing though

I had another toast with spread, miso and nooch. I do like that combo

I had vegan soft serve ice cream in Brighton.

I'm having a bowl of strawberries with chocolate sauce and a glass of wine.
