What Consequences If Everyone Went Veg*n? BBC Article

I can't help but feel that this short article is much less positive about the idea of stopping to eat meat than the longer, more detailed one it was derived from.

Detailed descriptions of positive effects are given the same (small) space as negative effects briefly mentioned in the longer article ... e.g., Sure, it would greatly reduce climate change emissions, but on the other hand, mongols and berbers would have to stop their traditional nomadic lifestyle and move to big cities. So it's more or less neutral, right ;) ?

My suggestion ... read the longer article.

quite frankly I can wait for the nomads.
its really mind boggling that people who have to make themselves do physical activity, and intentionally causing their own malaise would be against the quickest and most mutually beneficial solution.

We'd have better, cheaper meat, dairy and egg substitutes.
It will never happen over night. I'm guessing with how gradual it is, people will have time to adjust, find alternatives.
