I just finished "When the Moon Hatched" by Sarah A. Parker. This is book one in a romantasy series called The Moonfall Series. I am on the waiting list for book two. This is a 690 page book and I expect the next ones to be just as big. It was really good with the typical battle of good versus evil, lots of steamy sex, and dragons. The main character is a really messed up woman who is an assassin. The writing is really descriptive and I really liked it.

I have put a Hold on it... 23 weeks wait lol

I had to wait awhile too. I am not sure book two is even released yet but I am #2 on the wait list!

Do not disturb Frida mcfadden. I read it in a day. It was ok, not her best, but quick.
When I went to the library on Thursday I only had that Frida book to pick up so I walked around and I found Stephen King misery. I don't remember if I've seen the movie and I've never read the book. So that is my next read.

I just read the newest book in the Doc Ford series called "Tomlinson's Wake" by Randy Wayne White. I have read a few of these and they are good mysteries/crime dramas featuring some quirky Florida characters. I like reading books by Florida authors and have enjoyed this series. This one takes place in Honduras as our black ops/marine biologist hero fights evil human and animal traffickers.

I'm going to start my new book today. Heavenly Bodies. It is a romantasy so I'm not particularly looking forward to reading this book.

Another author that I have been reading a lot of is Jules Bennett - lots of different threads/series and most are related to each other - always nice to hear about familiar characters.

Today I finished "Happy Wife" by Meredith Lavender and Kendall Shores. I picked this book up because it takes place in Winter Park, FL which is a very affluent suburb of Orlando. I have been there a few times. The story is about a young middle class woman who marries an older wealthy lawyer. She doesn't fit into the snobbish Winter Park society as the second wife but becomes friends with her next door neighbor who is another outsider. Then her husband, a workaholic, disappears and the mystery begins. The book captures the attitude of the very rich and is a really good fast read. This is the authors' first novel and they have a new one called "Perfect Life" which also takes place in Winter Park. As soon as I get through the stack I have and the second one of the romantasy series which is on hold for me, I will get that one.

I have read two David Rosenfelt novels over the last couple days. "Dog Eat Dog" which is one of the Andy Carpenter series and was another good twisty mystery. I really like Andy's sarcastic wit and this series is a lot of fun. The other one is from a different series called the K Team series and though it has the same characters, the main guy is one of Andy's investigators and his dog Simon Garfunkle. It is called "Good Dog, Bad Cop" and it was really good too. The main character is Corey Douglas and he is a more serious person than Andy so not quite as funny. I did enjoy it and will read that series too!
