The Weather.

37°C and another day stuck inside the flat.

I feel so sorry for Kitty who loathes the heat. One of the neighbours is going to try and get her inside his flat.
I hope he's successful. Does she let you pet her or is she really feral?

As she was abandoned, she does like certain humans. She hates the cat lady as she took her kittens away to be adopted. They tried coaxing her into the cage so that she could go with them; however she refused.

The neighbour says that she won't go with him so I'm not sure whether he'll manage to pick her up.

She always comes running when she sees me and wags her tails and purrs. I usually stroke her and talk to her. She's really my girl!

last night at 10pm it was still 29C feeling like 41C - it has cooled slightly today only because we are completely covered in forest fire smoke from Northern Ontario - everything appears orange and visibility is limited - I can taste the smoke in my mouth even inside with the air conditioning on - it appears like we live in an apocalypse

Is it still this bad? I'm hoping it's at least a little better. ❤️‍🩹

Well...power is out ... again. Hopefully it won't be as long as when it was out during the July 4 weekend. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in the twilight zone...first we lose power the July 4 weekend...then last week we were boiling water for possible contamination...and now the power is out again. But I will take it over fire any day. 💙

I'm back in business. 🥳🥳🥳
I was getting nervous as I got an alert for the freezer in the garage that the temperature was climbing. Thankfully it stayed just below freezing and the power came on at 5:10 am. 🙏

thank you for asking and I am happy your power is back - we actually had a tornado alert on our phones yesterday afternoon and shortly after a cold front came in and now the temperature is wonderful and although the air quality is not great it is great by comparison - no tornado touched down so that was good

It's summer in Florida so the weather is pretty much the same every day. Temperatures in the 90's with rain chances in the afternoon though the rain is scattered.

Cooler here today but overcast with showers expected throughout the day. I don't think we will hit 80F. It's weird having to wear a light jacket when I walk in the morning but I'm not complaining.

Right? I wore a hoodie to bed last night...in July!! Crazy, but I don't mind that it's not sweltering!

I felt a bit cooler today and had to go and put a pair of socks on even though I’m indoors. I’m also not complaining as I dislike the heat.

The last few days have been so nice. Low humidity, right around 80 degrees. Mornings have been cool, almost autumn-like. I need a need a zippered fleece over my long sleeved Tshirt.

Is it long sleeve or long sleeved? I always seem to go with the ed but looking at predictive text I'm thinking maybe it is sleeve.

And now the more I look at the word sleeve the more weird it looks...sleeve sleeve sleeve sleeve...so bizarre. Does that happen to anyone else? 😂

Edited to add: apparently, they are both correct but long sleeve is more common. So I will continue to be the oddball and use sleeved. 😁

This is my kind of discussion, lol! When I worked at ESPN The Magazine, I'm pretty sure we also used long sleeve, and I agree that it could go either way.

RE: the weather. It's muggy, muggy, muggy even at the beach. Apparently, we are getting rain tonight into tomorrow. It has been so wonderful the past few days. Oh well, we could use the rain.
