The Weather.

They may have a point!
Indeed they do but I try not to advertise it lol 😂

I am so lucky that I have found people who can tolerate my weird/quirkiness and don't mind being around me. I try to be genuine so I think that saves me from being a complete outcast lol.

It's going to be another hot day with temps around 25°C (today and tomorrow). I wish we could have some some clouds so that it would cool down. It's getting to be too hot to go out during the afternoon. I had to walk quite far yesterday to get to to the surgery and I wore a hat. It's also going to be a challenge to be able to de-string in the town centre with this heat. I may have to travel into the latter very early in the morning.

Same here. The mosquitoes will be swarming around very soon. You can't even sit outside in the evenings.
It’s funny how people are So different - when I was living in France we ate outside almost Every evening, as well as for lunch when we were working at home! Our little patio terrace was West facing and it was So lovely to sit and enjoy the sunset…
Mostly I miss my Husband, but I sure do miss our lifestyle as well… Cancer sucks!

It almost felt like Spring today, it was sunny and mild with a high of around 13c… The morning was nice because it was Calm, however the High winds picked up a lot in the afternoon… Lately it seems like we Only get sunshine when we get Fierce winds!
I’d really enjoy the high temperatures that many of you dread…

Is there a reason why you left France to go and live in Ireland? Do you prefer living in the latter?

It's crazy how our weather fluctuates. I was so hot for three days, needing only a tank top and the fan running to try and stay cool, and now we are bank to possibly needing to put the heat on to take the chill out of the air. It's kind of annoying. Why can't we just have a few weeks with it somewhere in the middle!

Indeed, that's annoying. I also don't like it too hot or freezing cold. Anything between 13°C and 17°C suits me fine.

My husband and I were working as caretakers for an English couple who had a holiday home in France… We lived in a small cottage on the premises, there was 14 hectares of land mostly untouched forest…
Two months after my husband died ( after a year long battle with cancer ) the husband of the couple called me and asked what my plans were? I replied that I was told not to make any plans for the first year - to which he said - well that won’t do I hired a couple I expect a couple! These were people who I thought were our friends! We were with them for 6 years!
My mother-in law and most of my husbands family lives here in Ireland so being in the state of Shock and Grief that I was in I decided to come here rather than trying to find a new place to live in France… I did look at a few rentals in the area where we were living, but they weren’t suitable and there wasn’t much of anything available…I also would have had to get a second job because I was only working part-time in a garden centre… Here in Ireland I was able to get a Widows pension and now at almost 70 I have a State pension…
If I had had More time and money I definitely would have done things differently… I don’t regret coming to Ireland it has given me a decent existence, I could Never have afforded to go back to my native Northern California!
When I first arrived in France in 1987 I felt like I had found my Home… I love the culture, the language the land and even the people… There’s a lot I don’t like - such as the hunting, the smoking etc… For me living as a Vegan was So easy because of the fresh local produce… And I Really miss the climate!
Although, finally it is beginning to feel like Spring here! Today is the third day in a row of Sunshine!! Yesterday it was lovely because it was Calm, once again today the winds are forecast to blow which means it will feel cooler…
