The Weather.

How are you all getting on with the snow storms?

It is just grey and cloudy here and it is meant to rain later.

Uneventful so far… Looks like a good bit of an amount out there but I slept good last night and woke up to power!

So far, we have about 6 inches. I will happily take that, as predictions were much higher. Though our SCW weather guy did say my area might not get a ton. :) My mom in RI has 20 inches and my sister in eastern Mass. has about the same. Needless to say, they are not happy!

Still doing good here. It's hard to tell how much we got... I'm waiting for official snow totals to come out. My best guesstimate would be 14 to 16 inches on the conservative side. I'm thinking we could actually have at least 18. I'm not hearing about too many power outages either except for one friend who lives in the next town over.

So glad your power is still on. I'd say we're up to 8 or 9 inches, but there is a lot of drifting. I'm going by what I can see in my neighbors' driveways. They have snowblowers, and it looks like they have at least 8 inches or so far. My car has a ton of snow on it, probably from drifting, lol. I'm going to clean it off this afternoon, I think, when things start to wind down.

It's bright and sunny today but chilly. The high is supposed to be 29 F. I went out to dig out my trash bins. That was a workout, as there was still snow from the previous storm. Not that they are collecting trash today, lol. There is so much snow piled up along the road, so I don't know where we'll put the barrels, and we got only 11 or 12 inches. My mom got 3 feet, and my sister ended up with 2 1/2 feet. All of RI got slammed, along with southern CT and southeastern, Mass. It was quite a storm. In RI, they broke the snow total from the Blizzard of '78! The RI airport, which is the official reporting station, recorded 37.9 inches of snow, just over 3 feet. Incredible.
