How did it go for you?@KLS52 I hear you on the drastic changes. And I might have to abandon my plans for Sunday with the storm. <sigh> Let's hope the weather people are wrong about any flooding.
It wasn't as bad as predicted, so I carried on with my plans. How did it go for you?
That's good that you were able to keep your plans. It wasn't as bad as predicted, so I carried on with my plans. The good thing was, we got the beach cottage all closed up by Saturday. It wouldn't have been fun doing that sort of thing in the rain, as we had to load a few things inside.
We did get a lot of rain, but there was no flooding or loss of power. I went to a concert in the late afternoon at the Ocean Mist, which sits right on the shore, and we were fine. There were a dozen or so surfers taking advantage of the big waves. We could see them out the back windows of the bar.
I saw in another thread that you lost power for a bit. Did you do OK with the rain? I hope there was no flooding.
Yay! Happy to hear there was no flooding. Headlamps are great! I have mine at the ready in the event of a power outage as well. That's good that you were able to keep your plans.
Power was out from 4:30-7:30 am so not terrible. I have one of those headlamps so I put that on and was cleaning house like that in the dark. It worked amazing lol. No flooding by me and no water in the garage which was a relief!
Beautiful day today! It started out very autumn like and chilly but warmed up nicely by this afternoon.
It did the same last night in my area- I almost stepped in a poodle. (In my defense, I did NOT make this up- I read it, but I forget where.)It's raining cats & dogs.
