You're having some crazy heat over there. Is this usual for it being so early in the season?

Not in June. Temps in the mid/high
30’s usually occur in July and beginning of August. I can’t take this hot weather and wish that I was in Sussex, like last Summer. Far better than being over here.

The heat/humidity is back. Bleh. It's actually kind of cloudy today, so I hope it stays that way.

It rained last night so the temps have dropped, thankfully. I woke up this morning so sweaty as we can't sleep with the windows open because of all the car noise outside. It feels so nice to have a breeze at last.

There are meant to be thunderstorms today. I have to go out for half an hour, but I'm hoping I will miss them.

But it's only 80 degrees F even though the real feel is 91. It's comfortable.

It's 90 now. This morning I sprayed the AC coils with cleaner while it was still low 80s. Works very well!
I needed a shower so badly when I came inside. Spent extra time exfoliating, and conditioning my hair. Put on fresh clothes
It really hit how privileged I am, and how grateful to be

I'm with you on the gratitude. Between the people /children who died or are missing in the flooding at camp mystic, Texas and a neighbor/friend of mine who is in the hospital...(she had to have a g-tube put in because she can't swallow. She also lost the ability to speak several months ago. She communicates by writing with pad/pen but she has hand tremors so it's very hard to decipher what she's writing. She won't be going home because there's evidence of elder abuse. She will be placed in a nursing home but she's actually happy about it. She does not want to go home)...I feel very fortunate despite my age related health issues.
