The Weather.

I think the ac is going on today. Husband looks like he's really withering. Stella isn't have a great time of it either. I don't know why she should be so bothered by the heat this time around. But she can't seem to get comfortable, moving from spot to spot.

Not strictly "weather".
But one great thing about where I am at this time of the year.

That's one interesting thing about the far-northern latitudes: the longest day of the year is REALLY LONG.

...'course, the flip side of that is that the longest night in winter is really long too... but some folks like that. Anyway, traveling to a far-northern area and experiencing a long day is sort of on my bucket list. I suppose going during the winter and seeing the aurora borealis at night would be a blast too, but the aurora is so unpredictable... the sun has to be doing its thing spewing charged particles AND you need a clear sky.

Indeed. We are not that far north(most of Alaska is further north) (we are at around 59-60 deg North), but high enough so we just about get some residual light at midnight for a few days a year.

And yeah, the Northern lights can be seen here (but I keep missing it) sometimes, but going further up means it's more likely.
I think my bucket-list northern destination is Svalbard...in Summer of course :) - That's at over 78 deg North and gets a 24 hr sunlight period.

And yes, Winters are dark...I bought a special sunlight lamp to combat SAD :)

I watch a youtuber from Svalbard occasionally and their life is fascinating (not vegan). Cecelia Blomdahl

We have some relief today, it is still hot and muggy just not as bad as the last 3 days and tomorrow we will have one day of cool weather before the more typical heat comes back. So far I have not had to turn the air on as I have kept the windows closed.

It is very muggy again. It just rained so hopefully that will cool things down. I can tell when it is about to rain, but my husband can't.
