I'd go further though, to state that sometimes one cannot find an explanation and that's okay too. In other words, when given little evidence, many times (probably most) we should just suspend judgment and explanation.
 
I can't make up my mind whether I want to see a UFO, or would be scared senseless if I DID see one...

It's easy for me to believe that there is life, including intelligent life, elsewhere. But I really doubt it's in this solar system (other than on our planet). And supposedly there's no way to travel quickly enough over interstellar distances, even if there was a civilization nearby (which there may not be).
