I have two turntables purchased at garage sales - just so I have a backup if the needle breaks on one. I'm not so much a purist in regards to the sound of vinyl as I am a hopeless romantic.

Well yes of course - but in my case the price of replacing the needles themselves is far more than what I paid for the turntables.

...and this way I can convince my wife that as long as we have them, we should have a turntable in several rooms.

I bought the Immersion Edition of Dark Side of the Moon. I was curious to see what it sounded like in surround sound. It's truly an amazing edition, though you have to be a die hard fan or just not love money to get it.

Also, just learned that Pink Floyd used their Dark Side money to help fund Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
