Okay, this bugs me. In both movies and on TV, when a woman is so scared of something or someone that she screams and runs away, she also drops her purse in fright. Sometimes she gets killed, sometimes she doesn't. But if she safely makes it home, she's without her purse. I don't know if this happens in real life, because fortunately I've never been in that type of situation or known anyone else who has. But it still bugs me.

it does annoy me when fast cars crash into park cars and then do that up, and flip over thing.....when they film that they have to use a ramp...what is the point? If it wouldn't happen in real life, why do it in movies, it just looks fake. If a fast car hit a parked car it would just scrunch up and bounce off.

It bugs me that women on TV shows (especially comedies) always dislike sleeping with their husbands/partners and just put up with doing it when their husband wants to. Why don't women in TV shows enjoy sleeping with their husbands/partners? Plus, if they don't - why is it okay that their husbands/partners try to convince them to do it anyway? It's a horrible message to send out on shows that are often aimed at families: If your partner doesn't want to sleep with you, try to talk them around?

I've stopped watching programs over this. It just winds me up.

It's because women are considered the 'gatekeepers'. It's sick and harmful and it winds me up more than you can imagine.

Birth scenes. Particularly when a woman first feels a contraction, which is immediately cripplingly painful and everyone goes emergency mode to get her to the hospital asap where she has the baby immediately. (Yes I am sure some labors progress like this but most do not).

Everything about movie births is weird and inaccurate. Usually a months-old baby pops out, fully formed and with little to no goop, and no umbilical cord, immediately ready to hold and cuddle.

I've actually seen exceptions, where the baby actually looks like a brand new newborn with the gunk and everything, but still a little too big to be a newborn. That's probably because nobody actually WANTS to use an actual newborn in a film or TV production. I don't know how babies get on film, but it's possible that the parents take one look at their new kid and go "wow, so photogenic! Let's get an agent for the baby and when he/she is a couple months old he/she will be playing babies in Hollywood!"

Maybe in the future CGI will eliminate the need to use 1 or 2 month old babies in place of newborns. They already use it to sub for real animals, thankfully.

Parents of identical twins sometimes put them in show business because there are laws about how long a baby can be on set, etc, and twins are often smaller at first.

I have seen some very newborn looking babies in movies, but they are usually just small 3 - month olds.

And in real life, some babies are not very gunky when they are born. One quick towel-off helps him breathe, gets rid of gunk, then hand him to mom.

They sometimes use fake babies for certain films. I have already seen a few and they don't quite look like the human kind.

In the movies, when somebody is rehearsing for a stage production, singing and/or dancing and/or acting, and their performance is really terrible, the director or choreographer is always screaming "WE OPEN IN THREE DAYS!" I don't know anything about stage productions, but do they really have performers who are so awful they still can't get their act together so close to opening night? And of course this results in a longtime movie cliche' - something happens and the terrible performers magically become brilliant by the time the show opens.
