In 2024, I did a partial hospitalization program. The participants knew I was a vegan (unfortunately my only option was salad for lunches) and one of them jokingly asked me if water was vegan...

IF WATER WAS VEGAN.

I was thinking about this and was curious as to the kinds of things y'all get asked. There are times where people ask me things out of genuine interest, and others...not so much. :/

someone asked me if i cared about the bacteria i was killing by consuming food and breathing air, couldnt even think of a response to that tbh
Indeed, @3axap
I think that a Big sigh might have been my response…
Some silly comments are just Best ignored, because there is No response

In the beginning, people would always ask me if I could eat bread...like any kind of bread, not because it might have egg or dairy (or honey). I think a lot of people confuse gluten free with vegan.

Maybe but I had someone who thought yeast were little tiny animals.
But to give them some credit just a few hundred years ago the biologists had only a 2 kingdom system for classification. So everything was either a plant or an animal

I did wonder if it was a yeast thing.
