Music Post a song that doesn't suck

Creepy song (continuing my Nick Cave theme):

The creepy part is when you realize the narrator killed his family.

The narrator ends up quoting Paradise Lost (which is the killer's trademark), although he implies he doesn't know it. The killer does. He says "Farewell, happy fields, where joy for ever dwells" which is a direct quote from Paradise Lost.

The narrator is also asking for a place to stay.

Then, continuing the depressed music thread:

Oh, my friend, we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

(Yes, this is a metal cover of the classic Russian song. Deal with it.)

Which kind of leads into this classic Eagles's song:

She gets up and pours herself a strong one
And stares out at the stars up in the sky
Another night, it's gonna be a long one
She draws the shade and hangs her head to cry

She wonders how it ever got this crazy
She thinks about a boy she knew in school
Did she get tired or did she just get lazy?
She's so far gone she feels just like a fool

It's been awhile since I've heard this...love it. It's creepy all 6 minutes and 48 seconds!
...Do ya reckon me a friend?

It's also a clinic on great songwriting. The haunting piano and vocals snake through the song's tale with an almost whimsical disregard of any set formulation whatsoever. And it works.

Not great video quality, but still fun to watch

I guess you had to be there, but this song most certainly doesn't suck for me. :p

Turn your volume up and enjoy this little gem from the 80's.
