After trying to transition to a vegan/vegetarian diet I found these things called Meati foods. The first time I tried them I was iffy but the second time. OMG SO GOOD. The carne specifically has a grasp on me if you’re struggling to find a good product I would look there. Especially with beyond being sued and stuff

Belated welcome on board! Glad you found something you like!

(I thought maybe you were a troll at first, but it turns out Meati really is an actual brand of vegan food!)

I was in the supermarket and they had Meati steaks. They were being discontinued so they were like half price.
I made them for dinner and they were really tasty. maybe a little bit tough but no worse than a real steak.
I just fried them but I think they would be even better if I followed one of their recipes
Surprisingly nutritious too.

if they still have them on Friday, I'll stock up. and get some of their other products, too

The only ones we have here are Juicy Marbles.

To be honest, they are expensive and a bit meh.
They taste a little like how I remember "corned beef" to taste.

As a steak, they suck, but to be fair, shredded in a casserole they are pretty good.

The problem is...
A kilo of my favourite veggiemince from Anamma is around 80 SEK (around 8$ US) and lasts for maybe 3 or 4 meals.
2x113g Juicy marbles steaks costs around 120 SEK (12 $ US) and the whole lot just about does one meal.

It's basically 1.5 times the price for a quarter of the meals.
