This is one of the few questions I get a lot... but I have no idea how to answer. Telling people that I cook my own food so I eat lots of different things doesn't seem to answer their question.Lactation consultant here, i love getting asked this question!1-Cows NEED to be milked
Answer:
No they dont.Think about this for one moment, how does a human female produce milk? She has a child, its the same for a dairy cow. Only they dont have a choice in the matter. They are forcfully impregnated and once the calf is born, it is taken away and the milk collected for human consumption. Once the cow is past breeding age, she is killed.

When people ask what I eat I usually respond with my basic list of "beans, legumes, rice, pasta, tofu and lots of fruits and vegetables." I don't usually get into the meatless versions of chicken/burgers unless it's a lengthier conversation I'm having with someone.
I have more of a problem if I'm eating something like Gardein chicken or beef or Tofutti and they ask "what's it made of?"I don't really know exactly so it ends up giving them the impression that it isn't real food, like it was created from chemicals in a lab or something, hence, it is fake food and not natural. I need to be more prepared for these kinds of questions.
Short(ish) answer on the "what do you eat" question ..
"Any of the 12,000 edible plant species that grow on this planet, all derivatives thereof, cooked or raw, in any of #x (can't be bothered to do the math right now) combinations in as many different styles as their are countries in the world .."
If I had asked that question, I would take that as a bit of a sarcastic answer.
