Ah, the bit where I'm should introduce myself.
Well I'm boring and I can waffle. I have warned you.

Technically I'm vegetarian but I'm allergic (as in fatally allergic, anaphylactic shock allergic) to all dairy and components of, so that more or less makes me vegan plus eggs and honey. I have been vegetarian for 30 years, vegan for about 8 of those years and fatally allergic to dairy for around 4 years. It's been an interesting learning curve!

The dairy allergy means that I even have to check bread, margarine and even homemade jam for dairy. And it turns up everywhere. So many breads have dairy in them, I had never realised until the allergy hit me in full force. It's in one of the common emulsifiers in bread, the bit that makes bread 'soft'. See that label and it's got dairy in it!
