Yikes...initially I was going to make a joke but I didn't realize it was such a serious issue.

The president never saw my hair after I've "just run my fingers through it" or he wouldn't have suggested it.

Did he also make personal grooming suggestions for men, like for example, asking them to ditch electric shavers (which need constant charging) and switch to manual shavers, to save on electricity? I didn't see that in the article, so I'm guessing no. Only the women have to change their routines, apparently. Nice to know the president of Venezuela is a patronizing male in the 21st century.

In all fairness, the article did not chastise hairdryers for being the work of the devil, but rather for using too much energy.

They should rather tell people to eat less meat and more vegetables if they are serious about reducing energy consumption.

Seriously, with all the oil Venezuela has, it's mind-boggling that they have no electricity.
