Music Guilty Pleasures: Music Edition

Janet Jackson sometimes when I work out, cheesy hair metal, some 80s pop, like Duran Duran or INXS.

I'm not really guilty about outlaw country. I'd only feel guilty if it was pop country. It's only a guilty thing because I really don't wanna hear all the redneck comments if I tell someone I like old country music.

As do I. I was raised on old country, Tom Petty, and Motown. I guess that explains my eclectic musical taste now.

My dad is a big country fan, so I heard lots of Hank Williams Sr., Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, etc. :) I can't say I'm a big fan, but I do like Johnny Cash now and again and a little Willie Nelson.

Mindless Self Indulgence. It's not a style that I normally like, but there's something about them that hits a certain soft spot in my psyche.

I added it to my favorites list. And my boss is going to kill you because you know I will be singing this all day at work, lol.

A song came on the radio the other day and I started singing along thinking I love this song and I hadn't heard in it years but couldn't think what it was and it was a Wham song.:p

:D Sometimes a song I haven't heard in years, I will sing along with until I realize that I don't like it. :p

I think, to most people, all the music I like are guilty pleasures. :) I like very little that is popular or modern... most of it is american country music, folk music from the 60s, classical singers and a few old metal/rock bands.

The ones I probably think are the most "guilty pleasure"-y though include Jack Off Jill (you can't help but like the things you listened to as a young teen, even if it was just girls screaming and trying REALLY HARD to be outrageous) and a bunch of misogynistic rap music like notorious BIG. I love shaggys "it wasn't me" too much.
