My gorgeous boy. I'll miss you forever, my sweet Lowgs.
Oh no...what happened?
Gorgeous Lowgs was diagnosed with a cancerous tumour on his leg. My friend thought that he was going to die a few months ago. However, he perked up. Sadly, yesterday the cancer had spread and his 3 rd leg was fractured. He was PTS yesterday at the vets in Brighton. Her ex sil had to carry him (85kg) from the bungalow into the van as it wasn't possible for the vet to make a house call.
He was only 5 yrs old.
I'm so sorry.
He was my gorgeous boy. So loving and very sweet. He will be missed.
I'm sorry about Lowgs, @shyvas . I've read that large dogs tend to have comparatively short lives, but I have no idea why. We miss them either way when they pass. One of my biggest wishes is that there is an afterlife, and that I will see the relatives, friends, and animals I have known again.
(I would be totally okay if the humans I haven't liked were in a different post-mortem reality... along with spiders...

Roger passed away last night in my friend's arms. He was the sweetest and best cat ever. Roger or Bodge only had 3 legs but he was a trooper. Love you to bits, sweet boy. RIP.

I think I confused Lowgs and Humphs, thinking you were just posting a reminder about Lowgs. I didn't realize they were two different dogs until I saw your comment in the other thread.

Indeed. Lowgs passed away a while ago and he was much younger 5. Humphs passed yesterday and he was 8. I will miss both of them but Humphs was very special.

Happy times. Lowgs & Humphs at the Coastguard cottages, Cuckmere Haven.
They loved their lives in Saltdean (Brighton) and happily they were both rescued from some awful homes. Lowgs was unwanted as he was born with a limp.
The sweetest personalities ever. I've never met an IWH so didn't know what to expect. However, once I got to know them, I was very surprised by how docile they are. They also loved their food and would nearly knock me over when I served their bowls of dinner in the kitchen.
