Home Secretary Theresa May has announced that ‘Clare’s Law’ will be rolled out throughout the country. The consequences of this should be obvious to anyone with a libertarian conscience.

Woman contacts police about a certain man, whom she claims she has met or is thinking of doing so. Sorry Madam, says PC Plod, Mr Such-and-such has no convictions for rape, murder, assault, robbery, burglary or drug dealing; he doesn’t even have any points on his driving licence but we’ll keep an eye on him for you.

Thus will thousands of innocent men end up on a police database as suspects on the basis of the word of one woman, or more than one woman if they act in collusion. These innocent men will then be subject to police investigation into every aspect of their private and work lives and possibly harassment with it.

Some of these innocent men will end up being charged and convicted for crimes which they have nothing to do with. It happened to Colin Stagg, it can and will happen again. The feminazis have won. Nothing to hide, nothing to fear they will say. No, nothing to fear except wrongful conviction or your life being ruined through false allegations. We now live a Police State. So if you are single and male, don’t trust any women and don’t trust the police.

I was curious about how a woman would prove that she was in a relationship with a man, in order to ask about him.

She doesn't have to prove it, she can claim that she is or that she is considering it. Even if she could prove it, it represents personal relationships having to be approved by the state. Still, nothing to hide, nothing to fear, as the New Labour mantra went. This law shows that the ConDems are exactly the same.
