Are fish eggs vegetarian?

Fish eggs more commonly known as roe.

The caviar industry, like the Foie Gras one makes millions and shows no sign of decline despite the economy.

Since death is required, I vote no
with chicken eggs, death is not required.. although there is usually slaughter involved :I Unless you get your eggs from your own pet chickens. People will say this is unethical, but it's WAY better than the factory farmed eggs if you must eat eggs. For me, it's easier to just not eat eggs :p

It's interesting how some of the most expensive foods are the ones where the animals experience some of the cruelest deaths (veal, foie gras, caviar, lobster).

Part of the attraction of meat is that is indicative of having total power over other beings very lives.

I think this is a case of when taking a life alone is not enough then the next step is to take a life cruely.
