I don't think we've had a thread on this subject yet. I hear heated arguments in my family about this subject. Do you think they exist?
I believe. I have to believe.
It could well be that what they are hiding has nothing to do with aliens, but that it is convenient for the government that the population believes Earth may be visited by aliens and extraterrestrial spaceships. E.g. advanced, cutting-edge and top-secret aircraft technology can easily be confused with extraterrestrial spaceships. So therefore it is in the government's interest that the belief in visits from extraterrestrials is alive and well.It seems that every book done about the subject feels the government is hiding stuff. There's no reason they'd have to hide something if aliens didn't exist. A definite yes from me.
Definitely, but existence doesn't necessarily mean they are currently visiting Earth. And even if they are, the governments can still make use of the widespread belief in extraterrestrial visitors for their own nefarious purposes. They estimate maybe tens of billions of solar systems. The belief that we're the only life out there seems arrogant to me. I expect creatures would look much different in other planets but I just have to believe that there is a lot of life out there somewhere. This would increase the chances that aliens do exist.
Everything is a mystery... until it's solved. The existence of the unexplained doesn't provide proof of anything. Again, I do believe there are probably aliens, but it's just an educated guess. As far as data, the proof that is available easily falls apart under skeptical scientific analysis.
OR...maybe some "aliens" are actually our surviving ancestors and or evolved animal friends, companions making an attempt to help us from afar....sorta like back to the future... Sticking up for us so that we are not destroyed due to our barbaric ways and/or allowed to annihilate ourselves.I don't think we've had a thread on this subject yet.
