US 5 years vegan with no regrets

Oh, I have been a vegan for 10 years now, and I have a HUGE REGRET.
Why, of why, did I not meet any of these "in-your-face-vegans", who explain to everybody the horrors of the dairy and egg industry 20 years earlier?
I am not sure whether I really would have listened to them and changed my ways, but it would have been nice to have the chance.

The first time I heard about veganism I was 14-16, on a Toontown forum. There was a vegan in my class too, she did not want to do dissection. I remember that.
