Star Wars. There are elements I quite like to the original trilogy, but overall it lacks emotion where it could have so much to connect to. George Lucas has great ideas, but that's about it. Anything good about the films is owed to other people.

I can understand that. The book was far superior to the movie, but the movie wasn't that bad to me

I'm a "love the book, hate the film" snob when it comes to Trainspotting. I dislike it more after having read the book, but I did see the film version first. I only read the book because I was lucky enough to have it assigned in a Literature class.
