What is going on at the Vegan Society?

I've got to renew my membership, but I'm hearing all kinds of shenanigans going on there. Does anyone know anything? I spoke to someone who works there, and it's sounding like it's going against what it should stand for imo

The Vegan Society has been focusing heavily on pushing plant-based advocacy into mainstream policy and global partnerships. They recently launched major initiatives, including expanding their Vegan Trademark certifications with global brands like Mercedes-Benz and partnering with sports organizations. On the policy front, they’ve been actively campaigning against EU plant-milk labeling restrictions and advocating for sustainable food strategies. It’s mostly steady progress on promoting plant-based living, keeping their trademark front and center.
