I have started Dan Brown's "The Secret of Secrets" as I saw the owner of Skinwalker Ranch mention it in an interview on youtube - I haven't read many of his other than the first two so I am looking forward to it, although it is very loooonnnngggg.

I was reading bits and pieces to my honey and then last night I just kept reading to him - we are both enjoying it.

I just finished "The Ballad of Falling Dragons" which is book two in the Moonfall series by Sarah A. Parker. It wasn't quite as long as the first one but still over 500 pages. These books have a lot going on. The world they take place in is a very complicated environment of strange beings and really weird events. This book had less sex and a lot more violence and bloody scenes of torture and killing. Not for the squeamish. Now I have to wait for book three.

I read the first book in the K Team series by David Rosenfelt which is titled "The K Team". It was a good conspiracy murder mystery with familiar characters. I will read more when they come out.

I read another J. D. Robb called "Abandoned in Death". It is another in the "Death" series but newer so I am going to get the first ones so I get to know the characters in the proper order. I have reserved book one. This one was a really good serial killer thriller.

Found another series when browsing the new books. Of course this book, "Storm Warning" by Alice Henderson is the newest in the series so I will have to find the earlier ones as I did like this book. It's about a wildlife biologist who is doing research on a rare turtle nesting in Hawaii. She discovers an animal trafficking ring and then the drama begins. There's murder and conspiracy and a hurricane. There is a lot of scientific information about wildlife and climate change and since the author is a scientist herself, it is real and accurate info.
