I know it is a long read! I am about 42% done according to the tracker on my Kindle app. I might make it through in time for the new book which I heard should be out around the same time as the new season on TV.

I read this today and it's very depressing subject matter as it's about a child death. It was quite creepy in places. It's set in a remote Scottish island and I was feeling cold at the descriptions of the stormy weather there.

I read this today and it was a well-crafted and spooky ghost story until the last part when it descended into a sick and twisted ending which really didn't gel with the rest of the book.

Maybe you could ask them if they could get it, or get a long-distance-loan, if that is possible? (some libraries are prepared to lend books to each other and request books they do not have themselves)

They only have a small collection of English books and they don't order specific ones. Furthermore the other library that I am a member via my English group doesn't order them. They rely on donations.
