It's like drunk driving. All the oil companies are doing it, and all are potentially dangerous. BP is just the one who happened to run over someone so now it's getting singled out. They need to be more preemptive if they want to prevent something like this from happening again. That's not to say I have any sympathy for BP. I have none whatsoever. They deserve harsh penalties. Not just fines, but criminal charges. But yeah, so do all the others.

I swim in the Gulf of Mexico, it is so lovely. So I understand the ire against bp, but if all the oil companies don't take better care, these kinds of things are bound to happen.
