I have this indoor HDTV antenna:

I get all the local channels in HD. For free. It works great.

I also have this:

The little box on the right is where one end of the stereo audio cables go. The other end goes into my PS3 and the sound works. Or, it goes into the cable box (included with the Internet), and the sound works. However, when it's plugged into my TV, I get no sound.

What am I doing wrong?

My TV may only have audio inputs, not outputs.

That's possible. But you get sound out of the internal speakers of your TV when it's not connected to that little box? Are there any settings on your TV to choose external speakers?
I get sound out of the internal speakers regardless of connection to the little box, so long as they are turned on in the settings. There is no setting to choose external speakers, but there are three options for 'Digital Audio Output': PCM, RAW, and Off. Neither option makes a difference.

My TV has an optical audio output. The Bose thing has RCA inputs. There is a small box that converts digital audio to analog audio.

Long story short: problem solved.
