I saw this on my FB and showed my sister, who loathes humidity, lol! She got a kick out of it.Haha. It's pretty humid/muggy but not necessarily hot. I will reserve any complaining until it's officially Autumn.

It was actually quite lovely at the beach today, but the clouds are rolling in and showers are expected tonight into tomorrow.
@KLS52 For some time, I've been wondering about how my area doesn't seem to have a gradual change from warm/hot weather to cool/cold. Specifically, I've been wondering if it's just an occasional fluke (which the weather was probably doing when the Trilobites were still around) or a more recent development.
I still fondly remember that non-existent "winter" we had a few years ago; it was so pleasantly mild. I also remember reading about that one "year without a summer" back in the 1800s ("1800-and-froze-to-death").

It has been a bit cooler the last couple of days in the 80's but no rain. It is going to be in the low 90's next week.
I would love to experience a non existent summer!

It was lovely watching it last night. I just took a dip in the pool and then I thought I saw lightning again! There was another rainstorm here. Everyone went back into the hotel, unsurprisingly.

I just googled it: in April 1815(!), Mount Tambora in Indonesia erupted, and sent a huge amount of solid and gaseous material into the high atmosphere. The following summer (such as it was, in 1816) had unimaginably cold weather, with crop failures, across North America, Europe, and some of Asia. How is it possible that as soon as the indoor temp goes down to 74 degrees, that I feel cold and can't go around in short sleeves? It's kind of crazy that I'm sitting here in a long sleeve tshirt feeling cold. What am going to do when winter hits?!?

Temperatures plummeted from the 90°F - 80°F region down to the 60°F - 50°F region in only a few days. A road trip and an outside tour provided fantastic weather. The topic of the tour was important but not a happy one: healing from a horrible lynching that took place in the area in the 1920s. The main structures from the time all survive and a memorial was (finally) put in place over the past 10 years. We followed the exact path of the events and ended up at the victims' now marked graves across town. Despite the theme, it was overall a fantastic, meaningful, and very emotional event. And the weather could not have been better.

It is cloudy today with a chance of rain as always. However, the rain has been skipping over DeLand for the last several days. Still so humid if if the temps are down into the 80's instead of 90's.
