We need a product buying gripe thread.
I truly do try to minimize my waste and my impact on the environment, and part of the way I do that is to buy quality products instead of cheap, disposable items. But far too many quality items uses animal products in their construction.
Right now I'm in the middle of trying to find a good clothes brush (like a lint roller, but less likely to damage or degrade fabric), and my choices appear to be synthetics (which are harsher to fabric and wear down more quickly) or natural materials (which aren't veg*n, but should last many years).
Grrrr.
I hate choices like this - do I buy stuff that is more or less disposable, meaning I'll buy many over the course of my lifetime (not really good for the environment or animals, even if it is synthetic), or do I buy a "natural" bristle brush?
