Even though dozens of travel companies have already committed to not offering elephant rides, Classic Journeys, Goway Travel, and SITA World Tours continue to offer rides and other activities that exploit elephants as part of their tours, despite learning of the egregious cruelty and human health risks involved. Please help Peta urge these companies to join the long list of responsible businesses that have committed to not offering activities that exploit elephants!

The worst idea ever for our oceans
Nautilus Minerals (Nautilus Minerals ) has a license for an insane idea that could become a planetary disaster: the world's first deep sea mine. (The Company plans to grow its tenement holdings in the exclusive economic zones and territorial waters of Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Tonga, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and New Zealand as well as other areas outside the Western Pacific. - Nautilus Minerals About Nautilus )

We all know how toxic mines can devastate land-based ecosystems -- imagine corporations unleashed to dig up the ocean floor for minerals, far from any scrutiny. It's the last thing our dying oceans need!

The good news is the company is having trouble raising funds. Let's drop an ocean of condemnation on this project, scare any further investors away, and make sure this horrific new threat to our environment dies quickly. Sign the petition, which will be publicised and sent to every potential investor! Petition at The worst idea ever for our oceans

The European Commission is currently reviewing the use of non-human primates in experiments in the European Union.

Keeping intelligent monkeys locked up in laboratory cages and subjecting them to frightening and painful invasive procedures is deeply cruel and cannot be justified morally or scientifically.

This is a vital opportunity for us to pressure European leaders to stop these horrific experiments – please join me in signing PETA's petition calling for them to end:

Take action on PETA's website here: PETITION: Ask the European Union to End Experiments on Primates!

(just copied & pasted my email) PLEASE SIGN IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!!

Sep 10, 2016 —

Please continue to sign and share for the victims of domestic violence. We are nearing the 100,000 signature mark which is crucial to help urge the Congress to pass The PAWS ACT. Remember we need to be the voice of the voiceless....pets and women continue to be horrifically abused and murdered each day at the hands of abusers. The time is now---to stop the cycle of abuse.

RSPCA NSW: TELL THE RSPCA NSW THAT THIS IS CRUEL
Australia - on going petiton and court case by RSPCA-
Update -
The RSPCA is aware of the claims on the change.org website regarding the welfare of cats.
The RSPCA have conducted inspections of the property and the cats contained upon it, as a result of these inspections a number of cats have been seized for alleged offenses under the Protection of Cruelty to Animals Act and are being held in RSPCA care pending the outcome of court proceedings. The owner of these animals has been charged with a total of 25 alleged animal cruelty offenses and the matter is currently before the courts.
The RSPCA continues to monitor the welfare of animals on the property. Contrary to assertions on change.org if offenses are detected and can be proved then appropriate action will be taken, including seizure of further animals.
As this matter is presently before the courts we are unable to provide further details to the public at this time.

Shelter dogs around the world are ending up in laboratories | Cruelty Free International
Our latest investigation has found evidence of every dog lover’s worst nightmare.

Lost, stray and abandoned dogs who’ve ended up in government-run shelters in Brazil are being handed over to universities for use in experiments. And many of these poor animals are also being supplied to veterinary schools for student teaching classes.

Sadly, we know it isn’t just happening in Brazil:

  • Our researchers have found evidence that stray and shelter dogs, or those labelled as ‘random source’, can still be used in experiments in the USA, Canada and Australia.
  • We’ve heard shocking accounts that around the word, stray dogs are being deliberately harmed or killed for education purposes, including for students to develop and practice their surgical skills at human and veterinary medical schools.
  • In some parts of the USA and Canada, local laws actually allow laboratories to buy unclaimed dogs from animal shelters for use in painful experiments.
It’s an appalling thought. But you can help us end it. Petition at
Will you help save shelter dogs from laboratories?

Notorious elephant abuser Hugo Liebel is exhibiting the suffering elephant Nosey (aka "Tiny") at the Piedmont Interstate Fair NOW THROUGH THIS WEEKEND. Recent footage of Nosey standing alone in a hot parking lot—confined to a cramped electrified enclosure without shelter, food, or water—shows her reality: a life of deprivation, discomfort, and loneliness. Join me in urging the fair to do right by Nosey and cancel her appearances immediately!
