The Laughing Seed

We ate at the Laughing Seed in downtown Asheville this weekend, and was a delicious experience. A fully vegetarian menu with about half vegan, everything that is completely vegan is clearly labeled with a (v). The focus is international quinine, I had Seitan Etufle, which is similar to gumbo, and it was the perfect hardy meal for a chilly fall night. All the deserts are vegan (although we were too full to sample any). They focus on local ingrediants and making everything fresh in house. There is also an impressive wine and beer list featuring local brews, and the service couldn't have been better.

Highly recommended all around.

I ate there last weekend. I had the jalapeno & onion fries and the Enchiladas Rojas. I enjoyed it very much. This was my 2nd time to the Laughing Seed. I wish I lived closer.
