Minds me of a little sales 'trick' that, btw.

Where the hard salesmen had failed to get an order we used to send a gentler soul in after them.

Where a gentler soul had failed a hard-man would follow on his heels.

Beauty of that was partly that if a prospect responded to neither hard nor gentle techniques then we were losing absolutely nothing by moving on and writing those prospects off.
