Stranded Whale 'Alive' On Hunstanton Beach

Apparently the poor mite is dying and there is little hope that it'll be able to swim when the high tide comes in.

So very sad.

The poor mite died at 8 pm.

I wonder why so many of these whales end up in the shallow water of the North sea ?
It isn't their usual habitat.

I was torn between the hope of a miracle and having it put out of it's misery. It must have been an awful, slow painful death.

Apparently the UK is not equipped to put such a huge animal to sleep.

The poor thing. They are always trying to rescue beached sea mammals, and they usually just re-beach themselves.

I feel sorry for them and wish that something could be done to prevent them entering shallow seas.
