Package Exchange Spring Exchange 2013 Photo Thread!!!

I took a pic of my package with my cellphone, since I couldn't resist digging in any longer, and I wanted to make sure I got photographic evidence of everything still in tact.

My send was the ever-fabulous Swamp-Dweller! We have exchanged goodies on more than one occasion in the past, and once again she did a mahhhhvelous job.

For tasty vegan snacks, I have:
Lucy's gluten-free Maple Bliss cookies (What New Englander doesn't love anything maple?)
Mrs. May's sunflower crunch (sampling these now... addictive, to say the least)
Larabar, cherry pie flavor (Can't go wrong with Larabars... ever)
Trader Joe's 72% dark chocolate bars (3 pack)
VerMints chai flavor pastilles (Made in nearby Vermont)
A tin of Teavana tea. This one is a deliciously fruity blend of Gyokuro Imperial green tea and Berry Kiwi Colada herbal tea. If it tastes even half as good as it smells, I am a lucky lady indeed.

For the kitchen, I have:
An adorable purple bento box. I pack meals on the go DAILY so this will be great, if not for the office then certainly for long days of riding around, running errands with my boyfriend or impromptu picnics and warm weather hikes
A star-shaped pie mold for making pocket pies. I am eager to try this, not just with pie crust, but maybe even for making calzones or packet sandwiches. It's adoarble!
A refrigerator magnet featuring a pier in Naples, Florida, where Swamp-Dweller currently resides. I love the sunset view, and the fact that it's a local souvenir I can keep.
A large jar of an orange ginger spice blend. I have received other spice blends in prior exchanges, and it's so fun to get something unique and find as many ways as possible to utilize it in my cooking

For relaxation, I have:
A bar of organic Lettuce, Pear and Lime exfoliating soap, handmade by a company called Greenscape. It's reminiscent of cucumber melon in fragrance and delightfully springy and uplifiting
A natural soy candle by a company called Scentsational. The fragrance is called Tropical Paradise, very pineapple-y annd fruity and SUMMERY. The true strat of summer will be a ways off yet, here in New Hampshire, so this candle is my little dose of Florida sunshine, in the mean time. It makes me imagine laying on a sandy beach on an island somewhere, but without the risk of sunburn which plagues redheaded folks like myself

And last but not least...
For the kitties, I have:
Three little capnip mice for my three mischievous little fur kids.

Thank you, sincerely, for all the thought you put into your selections. I feel spoiled as always.

Sweet! Thanks for setting this up! My box did not arrive today. Looking for something exciting in the mail soon!

Your box should arrive Monday. Spring Santa was a little, uh, late getting to the post office! I thought I put it in the other thread but now I can't find it. Sorry for the delay!

My box has arrived:starshower: ! It is from the wonderful Wolfie and is amazing! My camera is misbehaving, but pics shall be up by tomorrow. Not making any promises about staying away from the delicious goodies inside till then,however..:lick:

Thank you so much Gingerfoxx for my package of goodies that arrived today!! Photo and description tomorrow! The hubby opened it before I got home thinking it was for him (Amazon.com junkie). Can't wait to dig in....

I am happy you like everything. That tea smells awesome. I had so much fun at Teavana sniffing all the teas. You could spend an hour in there....

I have spent *many* an hour in Teavana and other tea shops. There is a privately owned tea shop in my area as well. Remind me to send you something from there one of these days.

Sadly, my camera has decided to be contrary. The phone camera quality and scratchy kitchen table as a backdrop do not do justice to this box of fabulous treats. Wolfie, it's like you read my mind. Every single item is something I would have bought for myself.

Mint Oreos.. whoa mama, these are bad news! I'm embarrassed to say how many I downed with a glass of almond milk last night
Apple Pie and Banana Bread Lara Bars.. 'nuff said
Not one but TWO fantastic chocolate bars-cacao nibs and orange
Sweet potato and beet chips.. How did you know of my great love for all things sweet potato?
Organic raspberry fruit spread, which will be friends with my toast for tomorrow's breakfast
Swedish Fish! Funny thing, I've never tasted these, and boy oh boy, are they good! What took me so long to try them is beyond me!
A beautiful bag made of recycled material. My profession requires toting a large amount of stuff around, and this will come in very handy.
Adorable salt and pepper shakers from the Quad Cities, along with awesome postcards and an interesting leaflet on bald eagles. I enjoy interesting information and postcards from my exchange partner's area and have built up quite a nice collection.
Cat nip toy for the felines and peanut butter cookies for Miss Mo . They are delighted and send their thanks.
Wolfie, thanks again. I just love each and every thing you sent, and appreciate the thought that went into putting an awesome box together.

THANK YOU YALLY!

I actually squealed when I opened the first parcel and discovered this amazing cookbook inside.
The second squeal occurred when discovering the mushroom pate. I have never seen such a thing before! I feel like my life has now been irreversibly changed!
I am excited to try every single thing here:

The little kitty is technically an eraser! Although I think it's too cute to be used as one :3

Glad the package arrived in one piece :D

My camera is charging, but I can't take pictures of everything I got from Scorpius because I already ate the vegan homemade chocolate chip cookies. She sent me a vegan candle, assorted vegan snacks, a journal, AND this really awesome green and brown knit shawl she made herself. I wore it last night at my book release/poetry feature event. One of my signature bits is wearing a hip scarf every time I read poetry in public. FANTASTIC goodies! I hope to make Scorpius as happy with the box I will shortly send her. Which brings me to....

I posted this in the Spring Exchange signup thread, but I should probably post it here, as well:
I would like to apologize to my swapping partner for basically being a bum about the swap until now. I've been fundraising and such like a mofo, and I hadn't even logged in to VV in a month or more. I completely forgot about the swap until I got my package in the mail two days ago. I thought it was a birthday gift at first because my birthday (yes, 30) was yesterday. I will get a package together for you and send it out most likely Wednesday. When I signed up for the swap, I should have realized how busy I was going to be in my personal life, but I overestimated myself. Again, my apologies, and I will hold up my end of the deal this week.

I finally located a memory card that wasn't full so I could take a picture. Sadly, not everything made it to picture day though. I can't control myself around sugar.

My Santa was the wonderful sallyomally.

Vegan marshmallows
Trader Joe's taco seasoning
TJ's orzo
TJ's black beans
Tortilla chips
Peach salsa
TJ's mustard
TJ's pickles
Dog and cat food/treats for the fur kids
Kitty grass seeds
Basil seeds (love basil)
Marzipan and several red, green and white candies that tasted coconut-y. Only one of those made it into the photo. Mmmmmm . . . sugar.
Beaver nuggets, AKA food of the gods. The empty bag is in the photo.
Citrus flavored green tea. I can't wait to try it.
Vegan Jello.

Thanks, sallyomally! I loved everything!
