I'm intrigued by this...but like anything new, hesitant to jump on the bandwagon. Does anyone have any info on it? Maybe you've tried it or read about it? I'm curious to know what others think of it.

not that interested.
one thing is that being its similar to whey, does not make it particularly good for you. there are issues with whey. although those issues may all be based on the fact that its a dairy product.

Whey is popular because of its protein content. if you take a look at the thread on American's obsession with protein, you may conclude like I have that we don't need protein supplements - just a good diet of whole plant based foods.

Some of us need more help than others in the "good diet of whole plant based foods" department. I like having the option of supplementing with protein drinks when I feel I need a boost.

I'm a fan of whey protein and haven't had it since I've been vegan. I would definitely try this product if it's available in the UK.

I got marketed Spacemilk and was really interested in 'yeast protein' cuz i hadn't heard of it. So i ordered a bag and tried it. It's not bad, tastes kind of like a nut milk, but it was annoyingly powdery, like moon dust, and had a gritty texture.

I like the idea tho, it's supposed to be a complete protein and it didn't make me bloated or anything. I found another one that's a bit smoother and less powdery called ProteinRx - I'll continue with yeast protein when i need a boost and I'm tired of tofu/tempeh, etc.

@secondmayfly I went to their website via the link above, too, and kept getting an annoying pop-up- so I didn't get to the part where it tells you how much you get in a shipment, and how much it costs.

I get a different brand of soymilk powder (made by NOW Foods) at a local health food store. It's not the tastiest milk substitute I've found, but I find it acceptable. I went to their website just now. It costs about $8.21 for a 14 oz (21 serving) package (if you buy directly from their website), and has 9 grams of soy protein per serving. Their website advises to "Consult a healthcare professional before use"; the only thing I can think of off-hand is that it's quite common to have problems with soy.

not "quite common" but not rare either. more like a CYA statement.
