I dreamed that God would be forgiving.
Ah, I still don't know entirely how I feel about remembrance day. On one hand, I like the idea of remembrance and giving money to support war veterans and their families. On the other hand, there is an element of people feeling like they must buy and wear a poppy, which I don't like.
I also don't like that some animal charities sell purple poppies. I think it's good to remember the animals whose lives were taken by war, but the money raised doesn't have anything to do with war - it just goes in the animal charities pockets. It feels to me like one charity making money off of the back of another cause, which feels like it's really just a money making scheme.
Anyway this year I compromised, I bought a [red] poppy, but I haven't wore it.
