Normally I’m not a big proponent of the death penalty. I don’t think it works as a deterrent, and I believe way too many innocent people, especially POC, are sent to death row due to faulty or malicious prosecution and defense lawyers who don’t do their jobs.
But in this case, I’m good with it. This racist cretin will get what he deserves.

I was wondering if someone was going to post this.
Very distressing. It’s all over Facebook. So far I’m unable to find anyone trying to “justify” the bad behavior, which is pretty unusual. But I haven’t been on since last night. I’ll be going over to FB in a few to see if there are any new developments.
And now they have named the teen Michael Hodge and it’s gone viral. But supposedly the boy in the video is not Michael Hodge. So what a mess this is going to be for Michael if it is, indeed, not him.
Why do people have to do that? It’s one thing to name the school and give out telephone numbers and an address so that you can contact the school if you feel you need to, but calling someone out and putting it on social media isn’t necessary, especially when you have the wrong information.
We are such a mess.

The sad thing is the victim still sticks to her story that it was these guys. It is a very interesting story and is actually being discussed on local TV right now as there is a book about it out now and they are talking to the author.
