CA Questions from a transitioning vegan

Sprouting grains increases the availability of lysine. Tempeh has more bioavailable essential amino acids than the normal cooked legumes and may offer neurological benefits. DHA from schizochitrium oil or other algal oil is a must. Lots of supplemental amino acids like taurine are made by fermenting grains or sugars and so are vegan. An iron supplement may help, plus all the b vitamins. Betaine is also called trimethylglycine (TMG) and is used by athletes for endurance and by other people to keep homocysteine levels down. Mushrooms of every variety are an excellent addition to any diet.
