Plant Based Cookbook Recommendations.

I think i'm falling into the trope of just cooking what I would eat when i ate meat/dairy only using vegan replacements, which isn't how i imagined my diet to be after going vegan. I want to discover new recipes and food that i can't compare to things i used to eat but i really never cooked with legumes and lots of veggies before. i am proficient in the kitchen but just need new recipes to follow, are there any widely appreciated cookbooks that are worth picking up? or websites/blogs? many thanks!!! xx

I like Rose Elliot's books as her recipes are quite simple to make.

I've never been a big fan of having a lot of books at home. (although somehow I do).

When I was a senior in HS (and the spoiled youngest son, and never having made anything more complicated than a sandwich) my mom starting taking the time each week for life lessons. I learned how to cook, grocery shop, and do the laundry. Part of my cooking lessons was being gifted with a 3X5 index card file. I would write down a recipe from one of my mom's cookbooks and then cook it. She even sent away for some free recipe cards from Campbells (who remembers Cream of mushroom pork chops?) to give me a jumpstart. I think I got my first cookbook that year. It was a collection of all the recipes found on the back of boxes and cans. Oh, shoot! I still have both the little box and the cookbook, Favorite Name Brand Recipes. I really need to throw some stuff out.

As a college student who moved something like 12 times in 6 years, I started hating moving books. And to this day I try to just borrow books from the library and not buy them.

Sorry for the digression. The only point I wanted to make is: go visit the library and see what they have there. If you really like the book you can buy it later. or you can just copy out the recipes you like. And put them in a little 3x5 file. or type them up on the computer and make a folder for them.

There are some terrific vegan cooking channels on YouTube. We have a couple of threads on YouTube Vegans. But this one is just recipes

cant believe i didn't think to go to the LIBRARY, i'm still a college student and my library has like, 12 floors lol.... off i go, thank you and thanks for the blogs too xx

Got this book out of the library. And now I have to bring it back and I'm going to miss it.

Its called the Vegan Instant Pot Cookbook by Nisha Vora.

It did have most of the recipes I already know but it also had recipes for thing that I didn't even know I wanted.
Plus it has a lot of good general info on InstanPots. It also has lots of pretty pictures.
Two Thumbs Up.

I'm probably going to check it out again.

u can find some amazing food in this book CoBionic Plant-Based Cookbook
