I think it is definitely right that he should be prosecuted for his crimes no matter how many years had passed.
I hadn't really been following his case but he seemed to be arrogantly taunting his victims as I have just seen on Channel 4 News. IMO the guy seemed like a hypocrite as well as an abuser (and a right c*nt) and I'm glad he is going to prison.
BTW, I did not say that it was wrong to prosecute Clifford, only that it seemed "a bit odd" to prosecute such an old crime. In the US, I think the only crime without a statute of limitations is murder.
