A thread to discuss Lush!

A friend sent me a Lush gift card for my birthday, but it's been hanging around my coffee table for months. Yesterday I used it towards the Christmas Favourites gift tin. Eight bath bombs (all vegan!) in a pretty tin with a bird on it. Last year I was able to get two tins at the Boxing Day sale, but I'm not sure I'll be able to go early this year, and the nicer gifts sell out quickly at the sale.

I also got samples of Big shampoo and Big Solid conditioner.

Tonight I'm making time to take a bath, and I'll be using a mystery bath bomb and half a Superstar bubble bar. The bomb is large, and white, but I have no idea what it is.

I love their boxing day sales! It really turns into boxing week though. Thanks for the reminder--I need to save money for boxing day! hehe

Yeah, the year before last I went to theBoxing Day sale several days later, and they still had a lot of soaps and some bubble bars on sale. Last year I was there when they opened, and got two tins (the bath bomb one and the bubble bar one), and two of the medium wrapped gifts. All the nicer gifts were gone by the time I checked out and left.
Is it bad that I'm considering taking a halfway off work on Boxing Day just so I can go buy a whole bunch of Golden Wonder bath bombs?

Tonight's bath bomb had large iridescent flakes and a weird clear crystal thing in it. The scent was not distinct. Idk what it was. Rubbed myself down with King of Skin afterwards. I feel all relaxed and soft now.

I love Lush! Especially the bubble bars. I'll probably get some stuff for christmas - my mum never knows how to find vegan toiletries, so I always tell her that if she wants to get me stuff, just go into lush and look for the 'vegan' label/ask a staff member.

I wish I could get to Lush more easily. You can order online but I think Lush is really one of those places to shop direct from because you don't know if you'll like the scents etc.

Might order some treats after Christmas. :D

I love their face masks. Right now I'm using a soap my friend gave me (not sure which one it is...it's green?Smells delicious) & she also gave me some toothy tabs!? Interested to try those.

I've totally switched to Toothy Tabs instead of toothpaste. Every one I've tried has a less than fantastic flavour, but I like the way they make my teeth feel. Soooo clean.

Oooooo, I'm going to try one before I go out! Not sure if there are different flavours(?) These ones are lemon, grapefruit & black pepper - they smell gooooood.

I bought some when they first came out. Come to think of it...I've never actually used them though...

I just ordered some toothy tabs...can't wait to get them and try them out!

They are very weird but I've definitely got more used to them; we are used to the mintyness of regular toothpaste so it's strange not to have that. They make your teeth feel very clean :)

Raggle, if the toothy tabs you have are Sparkle, I really like that one. Also, Chou Chou I Love You, it's rose flavoured. All the others just taste kinda like baking soda to me.

I really like not having my whole mouth taste/feel like mint for an hour after brushing, interfering with everything.

I think tonight I shall have a Lush bubble bath, but I don't know yet what I'll use. Hmmmm.

I dug out the year old toothy tabs that I never tried and tried one last night. Pretty good. Really foamy so I was glad to see no SLS and stuff in the ingredients! I was running out of my conventional toothpaste and thinking about going the baking soda route, but now I'll just use up those tabs. I want to try the rose one. :)

Yes that's the ones. The rose one sounds nice. :) The only thing I really dislike is the texture of them after you've crushed them in your mouth. BLERGH.

I got the toothy tabs! They are definitely lacking in the taste department but I love the concept and they do make your mouth/teeth feel clean! :)

I bought over £100s worth of goodies in the Boxing Day sale. It's probably a bit late now (sorry), but also anything in store that was packaged before 1st October is 50% off! I had a look around and found some bits that didn't have sale stickers on and still got the money off (under the tip off from a member f staff).
That's everyone's birthday presents for the year sorted! :-D

I have a feeling I might be treated to one of the Lush Spas for my birthday this year! Xxx

I want to really like them--but everything I've tried was just too harsh. maybe they are using less sodium lauryl sulphate and paraben preservatives these days but the last time they were chock full of them. I recall the shampoo bars making my hands scale up and peel.

I really want to love them, i love what they stand for, but they have just always affected me badly. sigh....

I agree that a lot of their stuff is not for everyone. I really only have the bubble bars and the toothy tabs. Well, i don't have a bathtub right now so I haven't had bubble bars in a year! But I used to try not to have lush baths so often because I knew it wasnt the best for me...but they were so relaxing and smelled like...mmm....
