Hi everyone,

I'm returning to a predominantly plant-based diet after a three year hiatus. One of the reasons I kicked vegetarism / veganism before was because I kept losing my period. I've been semi-vegan again for one month now (I'm still eating eggs), and my period has disappeared again...

Has anyone had this issue and rectified it?

Are you eating enough in a day? That might be the issue. I've read about this but it hasn't happened to me and I hope it doesn't.

Hello Ocean! If you are having trouble with your menstrual cycle, I would definitely agree to make sure you are taking in sufficient calories. Try using an app like "myfitnesspal" or go to chronometer.com to get an idea of your daily intake. You may also give a go at working out; nothing too strenuous, just enough to get your body moving. It helps to especially work out when on your cycle-- even though that's the last thing you want to do, am I right? Best of luck!
