Last Thing You Bought?

I ordered a computer chair. It isn't as fancy as the one I initially wanted but I couldn't find one like it at a reasonable price.
Have you noticed that if you click on price history you have the option to set a price alert to whatever you want and get an email if it hit's that price?
As much as i hate amazon I will buy if it's the best deal

As usual, the last thing I bought was a book. This one by the "second Buddha," Nagarjuna from the 2nd century. He argued that nothing exists independently by means of the concept of "emptiness," which isn't nihilism, but a concept that means nothing has inherent existence. In other words, things are "empty" of inherent existence. Things exist because other things exist. Things exist in relation to other things. Things need "everything" in order to exist. Nothing exists without other things existing. Roughly, the book argues that "all things are connected," something that modern quantum physics is starting to provide evidence for at the subatomic level (physicist Carlo Rovelli has a chapter on Nagarjuna in his book "Helgoland"). Not that the connection and interdependence of things needs a lot of argument even on an everyday level. It's not easy going, but satisfying.

Whew! That was challenging! I worked up a sweat putting that chair together! It would have helped if the instructions had WORDS instead of just diagrams. The chair is not perfect. I thought it reclined but it doesn't but I looked at so many I probably just got mixed up. It's a nice faux leather that will be easy to clean and it looks nice. The arms are a little high for me but that is not the chair's fault that I am so short. LOL

New toy, wanted to replace our old air fryer with its scratched teflon insides for some time…

From the videos I watched before deciding on this one, I thought it was a really huge machine, way bigger than our older airfryer.
However, it seems they are more or less the same exact size, so now I am super happy I went with the XL version.

Guess it will more or less ... behave exactly like the old one ...

So - does anyone here have any life-changing air fryer recipes?
(right now looking through the "Best Air Fryer Recipes" thread )

So far we mainly used our old one for fries and stuff like vegan meat substitutes, but did not do any real elaborate cooking in it.

I'm intrigued...I'm sure I'll hate it but my son will most likely finish it so it won't go to waste. I'll report back when it gets here and I try it.

That before getting mine-i luce that is glad. I got a cheap one with Teflon basket that's super hard to clean. My son mostly uses it

I actually have 2 air fryers. One is just a straight up basket one that is fairly small. The other is a combination toaster oven/air fryer. Both are Ninja brand. I find it is helpful to have two as I often need to both toast and fry.

Because my place is Very small I don’t have an oven - all that I use is my Toaster oven style air fryer and a single induction ring which works fine for cooking for 1 person… Previously I thought that gas stoves were the best, but the induction ring heats up quickly and cools down quickly so it is almost as good as gas in my opinion… I’ve never used the Basket style air fryers, the Toaster oven style works great for any kind of baking…

I have a cheap one that I bought a couple of years ago. I wasn't sure I would like it, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Mine is the smallest model of this particular brand (it has a round basket), so I can't do a lot of elaborate cooking in it, but I think it's great for fries and crisping up leftovers and tofu.

I love cooking frozen stuff in it, like fishless filets, chik'n tenders and veggie spring rolls. I have never liked firing up the oven for three veggie spring rolls, so I really like it for small things like that. I would like to get a larger air fryer that has a more rectangular shape, but I really don't have the counter space for it. Right now, I keep it in my hall closet, with some other small appliances.
