Last Thing You Bought?

Wait a minute--is lists "gluten free" boldly, but not vegan? F that.

Does remind me of the topping on the lentil rigatoni recipe I've done-
Blend tofu with some tapioca starch, and (I used) brine from seasoned olives till smooth like pancake batter. Pour over then bake. Olives have subbed for cheese for me and I really like it--in gets thick when baked
Now I have to dig the box out of the recycle bin. I only took two bites but that's beside the point. I'm pretty sure I saw vegan on the box. The photo I posted is from the internet.

It's still gross. The best frozen is American harvest but I even got tired of that. It's not as good as when I first discovered it.

I had a really gross vegan and gluten free pizza a few years ago. White Rabbit brand. Horrible. My husband really likes a pesto pizza you can get at most supermarkets.

The last things I bought were a sandwich and a drink from Waitrose and then a book, a dress and a vase from a charity shop.

The last things I bought were a 1 lb. container of Cedar's Original Hummus and a loaf of French bread to spread it on. (...or was it Italian?... I thought French bread looked like a very skinny loaf of Italian bread, but this isn't skinny at all. Hrrmmmm.... No matter. It tastes good anyway. Bon appetit!)

@KLS52 I'd forgotten you first posted a link!
Pizza is easy enough to make, but my memory of pizza is not a desire for homemade--it's a phone call and trip to pick it up, at a reasonable price, and that's what's so disappointing

I will again recommend my favorite pizza sauce-I like fire roasted, but they also have reg. Oregano is not predominant-

Aldi has a jarred pizza sauce that's absolutely inedible. We couldn't even figure out what was in it-it was thrown out, and that's extreme!
It didn't even taste like food

Sauce can make or break a pizza. I don't like a heavy/pasty sauce or one that is sweet. But I also don't like fresh tomatoes on it either. I need a middle ground.

What do you use for crust? Do you make your own? I'm way too lazy for that lol. I do like English muffin pizza though.

You may want to try the Del Frattelli. I also dislike fresh tomatoes, or any chuncks

You who make great sourdough breads?
I do make mine, I always use a Tblsp vwg to each cup of flour, knead in my Kitchen Aide mixer, and hand stretch

I got this at Costco, very big bag, and not a fan. Too bad too, because I'd love it in a chive onion, or garlic herb flavor
Has the texture of Funyums (would love), or maybe cheese curls--and more dense? Not greasy at all

I bought another 25 lb bag of the pinto beans at Costco. Best I've had, and $15 for 25 lbs I couldn't pass it up.
My son would eat them every day at the price 🙄 .

Can't forget my gift to myself :flower:. Bone conducting headphones that wrap around the neck, and go over the ears, but not in the ears!
I wear them all day at work, and ear buds drive me nuts, as well as uncomfortable
Costco had these on sale at $75, and they seem perfect!

I went to Aldi and Big Y:

Green grapes, roasted peanuts, lemons, grape tomatoes, minced garlic in the jar, fresh garlic, raspberry preserves, natural peanut butter, a loaf of white bread, bananas, celery, tonic water, Coke, ginger ale, frozen mini veggie samosas (I haven't seen these at Aldi before and they are accidentally vegan), sauerkraut, Violife vegan butter, Peet's coffee (whole bean French roast that I'll use for cold brew), Earth Grown vegan cheddar shreds, frozen blueberries, potato chips, tortilla chips and some almond flour crackers that sounded interesting.

I bought some lunch while I was out and then I bought a jigsaw puzzle from a charity shop and a pair of new sunglasses.
I ended up getting another puzzle...it's coming tomorrow lol.
I need to check out our library. They have a section of books and puzzles for $1.

I bought a glass oil sprayer from Amazon on a deal. I'm so trying to not buy there, and it's so hard. I do only buy when things are like on a super discount. This one was $ 4.99. Also got a 12 pack of generic Oral B brush heads, which I never see in stores and far cheaper!

My FIL's Netflix stopped working at my house (It only worked on an old laptop that we hooked up to the TV anyway), so I did the cheapest plan.

So tired of throwing money away. I tried Dr. Praegers super burger and it's in the trash. 😞

There seems to be very little out there in the way of prepared food that is edible for me.

I did try a purple carrot udon meal. It was just decent/edible. I won't buy it again. 😞 x's 2.

I haven't really ever like the Dr. Praeger's veggie burgers. The texture is mostly crap and the flavors have always been meh. I want to like them, but I just don't.

I bought some craft beers over the weekend, from Fidens and Tree House breweries.
