As I had an appointment in town yesterday, I decided to venture and try the fabulous bakery, Land & Monkeys which is situated in the new shopping centre. The bakery is at the bottom of the main street in a much quieter place then the top end. It has both seating inside and outside and is quite large. Nobody was outside as it was 37°C yesterday.

The staff were quite friendly and also gave me a customer loyalty card where you get a freebie after so many purchases. The choice was amazing as all their yeast breads are made with organic flour and are artisanally made. There are choices for both breakfast, lunch and snacks; sandwiches, savoury tarts, mixed salads, yeast bakes and many lovely both individual and large tarts plus sponge cakes. No palm oil is used in their recipes and all the food is approved by our animals.

They also serve espresso coffee, hot and chilled drinks. There is also a container with fresh water and fruit peel which is foc. They also serve ice cream cones but I didn't have time to take a photo or check the prices.

They are open from 7am to 8 pm excluding Sundays when they close at 6pm.

The only downside is the price as nothing there is cheap including the bevreages.. Anyway, I bought a mango coulis cheesecake, (pic included) a pistachio paste tart and an almond (frangipane) croissant. Everything tasted delicious and it was a real treat to be able to go to a plant based bakery for a change.

Oh wow, it looks lovely! Frangipane is one of my absolute favourites.

I had an appointment in town so I decided to pop into Land & Monkeys, before feeding the pidges and catching the bus back home.

I was pleased to see quite a lot of people in there including some American tourists. They have a choice of either soya or oat barista milk for coffee plus a selection of other beverages. The food looks delicious and the staff are very friendly plus it makes the animals happy.
