The Fire That Burns Within
Like most people I was really scared by that film when I was younger.
I remember being scared even at the adverts. It taps into a primal fear most humans have of being vulnerable in water. I had to study that film for one of my courses and I got a lot more out of it looking at it in a different way. A classic.

One of my all time favorites!! I just love the way that music was incorporated into that film! I don't even know how many times I have seen this movie. It didn't really scare me "out of the water" as I lived no where near the ocean when it came out. Though I must admit to this day I look for fins in the water and even when I KNOW it is dolphins..... duh dun duh dun..... comes into my head!!
There's lots of great trivia about Jaws, for instance Ben Gardner's head popping out of the boat was added after the film had already been finished and was being shown to preview audiences. Spielberg said he got greedy and wanted to get just one more scare out of the audience, so he filmed it in his swimming pool and added it after the fact. (This is also why the body count doesn't add up when they're talking to the mayor on the beach the next day).
